Phenom 100 entry level business aircraft, Phenom 300 light jet  
  • May 2005: Embraer announces two new clean-sheet designs for an entry-level jet and light jet, later named Phenom 100 and Phenom 300, respectively. Pratt & Whitney PW617F-E turbine chosen for its new entry-level jet, and the PW535E for the Company’s light jet.
  • June 2005: Embraer launches sales of the two new executive jets with a support package of integrated solutions, from sales and training to total private aircraft operator/owner support.
  • October 2005: BMW DesignworksUSA selected for Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 interior and displayed for the first time at National Business Aviation Association convention. Prodigy Flight Deck selected for integrated avionics suite.


Phenom 100

  • April 2006: Embraer Executive Jets launches Joint Definition Phase (JDP) for Phenom 100, involving Embraer and component suppliers’ teams.
  • June 2006: First metal cut for Phenom 100.
  • July 2006: Phenom 100 model completes wind tunnel tests.
  • October 2006: Phenom 100 Pratt & Whitney PW617F-E engine undergoes first test. Embraer Executive Care (EEC) program expanded beyond Legacy 600 and customized for the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300. Embraer partners with CAE SimuFlite, Dallas, Texas in a training joint venture which, a year later, would become Embraer CAE Training Service for Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 training for pilots, maintenance technicians, and dispatch personnel. This is CAE’s first training program for the entry-level and light-jet markets.
  • March 2007: First wing-to-fuselage mating.
  • June 2007: The Phenom 100 is rolled out.
  • July 2007: The Phenom 100 takes its maiden flight
  • December 2008: Certification by CTA and U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).Phenom 100 is delivered to its first customer, North Americans James and Elizabeth Frost. Embraer breaks ground on first U.S. assembly plant which will produce the Phenom 100 entry-level jet.
  • January 2010: Embraer delivered its 100th Phenom 100 executive jet to JetSuite, a North American executive jet chartering company.
  • December 2011: First U.S.-made Phenom 100 makes first flight before being delivered to Kansas City-based Executive AirShare, which offers comprehensive aircraft care, management and charter services in the Central U.S. and Great Lakes regions. It was the first company to offer both the Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 jets.

Phenom 300

  • April 2006: Embraer Executive Jets launches Joint Definition Phase (JDP) for Phenom 300, involving Embraer and component suppliers’ teams.
  • March 2007: First metal cut on the Phenon 300.
  • May 2007: Embraer extends the cabin of the Phenom 300 executive jet for greater passenger comfort and increased floor plan flexibility. The fuselage gains an additional 14 inches (36 cm) in length, resulting in another 15 cubic feet of space (0.42 cubic meters).
  • December 2007: Embraer Executive Jets achieves first $1 billion Phenom order from US-based FlightOptions, a large executive jet fractional ownership company, which ordered 100 Phenom 300s with options another 50. The order, with options, is valued at $1.12 billion.
  • April 2008: Phenom 300 is rolled out. Phenon 300 takes its maiden flight.
  • December 2009: Phenom 300 achieves certification by National Civil Aviation Authority (Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) and US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The first Phenom 300 was delivered to Executive AirShare, a U.S.-based aircraft management, fractional ownership and flight operations company.
  • May 2010: Phenom 300 certified by European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
  • October 2010: Embraer Executive Jets earns second $1 billion+ order from NetJets for Phenom 300. Known as the Phenom 300 Platinum Edition, these jets were specially customized in cooperation with NetJets incorporating technology and comfort customized to the requirements of NetJet’s fractional owners.
  • February 2011:Embraer announces Phenom 300 to be produced in a Medevac configuration. The aircraft, equipped with the traditional Patient Loading Utility System (PLUS), will be an aerial Semi-Intensive Care Unit for patients, with a 10-hour oxygen autonomy, 1,000 watts for vital equipment, a compressed air system, and space for a ventilator, medical injection pump, defibrillator, IV poles, and a neonatal incubator.
  • February 2012: First Phenom 300 Medevac edition delivered to Amil Resgate Saúde in Brazil.
  • May 2012: ANAC certifies new cabin option for Phenom 300. The two-place divan offers additional seating configuration for the Phenom 300 that brings total capacity for the light aircraft up to 11 occupants.
