São José dos Campos, March 4, 2009 – Embraer has named Brett MacLachlan and Manfred Baudzus Sales Directors for Executive Jets in Asia-Pacific, both reporting to José Eduardo Costas, Embraer Vice President, Sales and Marketing – Asia Pacific, Executive Jets. Brett MacLachlan is responsible for Australia, New Zealand, The Philippines, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan, while Manfred Baudzus focuses his networking and relationships on India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore. The team is completed by Sales Engineer André Bosquê Monteiro.

Capt. Brett MacLachlan is an experienced pilot, having accumulated nearly 10,000 hours in flying for ten years with Qantas Airlines and, later, on private jets. He has been Director of Operations for companies like Elite Jets Dubai, Dubai Air Wing, and Consolidated Press Holdings (in Sydney), developing many projects for structuring various business jet enterprises, as a consultant. As a member of the MMI (Man-Machine Interface) Advisory Group for Embraer products, like the Legacy 450 and Legacy 500, he has contributed to the development of these aircraft with his experience and expertise.

Capt. Manfred Baudzus has been a pilot for 36 years and holds Australian and USA Airline Transport Pilot Licenses, logging nearly 11,000 flight hours. He is well-qualified to market executive jets to Asian corporations, after having spent 25 years flying executive jets on global operations, and holding positions ranging from Line Pilot to Chief Pilot, Aviation Manager, and President of various corporations and aircraft operating companies in Australia and Asia. Manfred joined Embraer in 2001, one year before the first Legacy jet entered service.
