– Embraer will participate in the Singapore Airshow 2008, Asia’s largest aerospace and defense event, to be held February 19 to 24 at the New Changi Exhibition Centre, in Singapore. The Company, which commemorates 30 years in the Asia and Pacific region in 2008, will promote its entire line of commercial and executive jets, as well as customer services, and will exhibit the Legacy 600 jet in the static display.
“The Singapore Airshow is one of the most important events of its kind and a great opportunity for showing our products to customers, the press, and the public in general, in this region,” said Orlando José Ferreira Neto, Managing Director - Embraer Asia Pacific. “The recent investments made by Embraer in the Asia and Pacific region show its deep involvement in this market, where the Company has three decades of experience.”
In April 2007, Embraer announced investments on the order of US$ 40 million, to establish new commercial agreements, in collaboration with industry service providers and offer outstanding training and parts distribution to the growing number of Embraer aircraft operators in the region.
Top Embraer executives will be attending the Singapore Airshow 2008, and will be available for airline and press contacts. Embraer will hold two press conferences on February 20, one at 3 p.m. and other at 4 p.m., in Function Room B, to give the latest news regarding its commercial jets operation and its executive jets programs, respectively, as well as to present new plans for further improving customer support in the Asia and Pacific region.
