Orlando, Fla., Nov. 9, 2005 – Embraer is showing the Legacy aircraft with a new name at the 58th Annual Meeting and Convention of the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) in Orlando, United States, on November 9-11. Embraer’s first business jet is now to be called Legacy 600.

The Legacy 600, renamed to be more in line with the Company’s new executive jet naming structure, is on static display for visitors to experience its plush accommodations and spacious three-zone cabin with a fully functional galley and full-size lavatory. Other features that make the Legacy 600 a success around the world include its High Speed Data capability with wireless access in the cabin, steep approach (e.g. London City Airport), and 9,500 ft airport altitude operation (e.g. Telluride).

Embraer has delivered 60 Legacy 600s to customers in 15 countries. With an excellent volume of orders for 2006, the Legacy 600 will be further enhanced to continue exceeding customer expectations. Future upgrades include the enhanced vision system (EVS), delivery of the first units with LED lighting, cabin acoustic insulation improvements, electronic flight bag (EFB), new radar with extended coverage, and a 3-D information and entertainment system. Storage features added to the largest baggage compartment of the industry make the Legacy 600’s also the most functional.

The NBAA convention is regarded as business aviation’s most influential and largest gathering of manufacturers, operators and the executive aviation community at large. According to show organizers, this year’s NBAA attracted 1,113 exhibiting companies and 110 aircraft, including the Legacy 600, will be shown on static display.

The Legacy 600

The Embraer Legacy 600 is changing the expectations of what a business jet should be, offering the market an unprecedented balance between comfort, performance and reliability.

The Legacy 600 Executive provides premium comfort and privacy for up to 16 passengers in three distinct seating areas. Interior standard features include first-class leather seats, a plush divan, an elegant credenza, and spacious tables for dining or meetings. The aircraft also has a full-size galley for hot and cold meals, a full-breadth aft lavatory, wardrobe and storage cabinet, and an entertainment system with DVD players and satellite telecommunications. The Legacy 600’s High Speed Data (HSD) and Wireless Fidelity (Wi-Fi) capability allows customers to browse the Internet, access e-mail and transfer files.

The Legacy 600 Executive’s baggage compartment with 240 cu ft (6.8 cu m) is one of the largest in the industry and is easily accessible during flights for greater passenger convenience.

Priced at US$ 22.45 million (January 2005 economic conditions), the Legacy 600 Executive cruises at a speed of up to Mach 0.80 and offers a range of 3,250 nm (6,019 km) with eight passengers and NBAA IFR reserves. This range, bolstered by superior passenger and luggage capacity, enables our customers to fly nonstop from New York to Los Angeles, New York to London and from London to Dubai at lower operating costs than competitive aircraft in the same class. Additionally, the Legacy 600 is the largest business jet certified to operate into and out of London City Airport, being capable of flying to Moscow with eight passengers from London City.

Also available in Shuttle and Shuttle HC configurations, the Legacy 600 is designed to provide comfort and functionality.

The Legacy 600 Shuttle accommodates between 16 and 19 passengers in business-class comfort. The Shuttle HC version enhances owner productivity and comfortably seats as many as 37 passengers in a superior airline-quality interior. Prices for the Shuttle versions range from US$ 16.95 million to US$ 17.64 million (January 2005 economic conditions).

The Legacy 600 derives from the ERJ 135 jet, member of the successful ERJ 145 family with more than 900 aircraft in operation and over seven million hours flown. With the affordability, size, speed, economy and safety of a platform that has flown over 30 million passengers in the world, it is also an exceptional aircraft for government authority transportation.
